Concept Formation and PMO establishment
In the business world, where most projects do not meet their deadlines, budgets and objectives, there is a growing need to establish a dedicated professional project management office (PMO) that can efficiently manage these processes across the organization.
Recent published research in the field shows that many companies today have a PMO function, but at the same time there is great variance in the way this function is implemented in various organizations with the understanding that one size does not fit all.
Therefore, an operational definition is required for the PMO's activity in the organization – including its role definition, supervisory control functions, interfaces, management procedures, key performance indicators, priorities and more.
Leadera, in partnership with our clients, specializes in conceptualizing and establishing a PMO infrastructure. This process is tailor made to each individual organization's needs. We target to establish a meaningful PMO that is adding a real value.

FAQ
Our organization has a new PMO. How should we get started?
Setting up a PMO is no small matter to be run on ‘auto-pilot’. You have to be sure you are creating a body that will bring value to your organization. Currently, there are a number of models, but we recommend starting by conducting a diagnostic mapping of the organization and its needs in order to ensure an optimal match for the chosen solution.
In addition, the position is considered complex, since on the one hand, it requires knowledge of project management and on the other, understanding of work processes. In order to enable a smooth entry into the role, you can receive personal mentoring to learn about the world of project management and/or its processes, accompaniment in establishing internal processes and methodology and more.
Our company manages projects across various divisions, how does Leadera handle this situation?
While partnering with your organization throughout the entire process, the initial assessment, and concept formation will take into account the various insights from executives, and operational employees to ensure a tailor-made plan to fit all intra-organizational objectives. Leadera has a proven track record in successfully providing solutions to a wide array of projects including product development, information systems, marketing, research, engineering and social/organizational.
How can we ensure PM excellence in our organization over the long-term?
Achieving excellence in project management is an ongoing learning process also involving the development of suitable organizational processes and infrastructure (such as constructing a methodology), as well as developing and investing on the relevant people in the organization (i.e. through courses). Our array of solutions relating to both processes and people will enable excellence in project management over the long-term, and will ensure ongoing improvement and achievement of the desired business outcomes.
